Reasonable pricing for any project size.
A single price that scales with your content. At typdy, we don't charge for features, users, or projects. You get access to every feature, and you only pay for the content you manage.
The pricing structure and resource limits shown on this page are provisional and subject to change following the conclusion of our early access period.
One price, no nonsense.
With typdy, you only pay for the content you manage, not the features you use. Our pricing is simple and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprise charges.

What is a construct?
Constructs are the individual pieces of content that you manage with typdy. This includes pages, posts, products, or any other type of content you create.
Constructs are constructed from a blueprint, which is the template that defines the structure of a type of content. For example, if you have a blueprint for a blog post, each blog post you create from that blueprint would be considered a construct, and therefore a billable content item.
Constructs can be simple or complex, depending on the blueprints you create.
Why do you not offer a free tier?
While a free tier is a common offering for many SaaS products, there is underlying cost associated with providing one. That cost is typically borne by the paying customers.
In addition, free users often consume disproportionate amounts of resources, and present a significant risk of abuse and fraud.
It's our belief that charging paying customers for the additional costs associated with offering a free tier is not a fair way to conduct business.
Instead, we have chosed to focus on delivering the best possible value to our paying customers, no matter how small their project may be.
I have a ton of traffic, can I use typdy?
Absolutely! We have API limits to prevent abuse and ensure a great experience for all users. Most Users are unlikely to ever hit these limits, but if you do, we have fair and transparent solutions for you to continue using typdy without interruption.
It's very important to us that you are able to make an informed decision about whether typdy is right for your project. So, rather than tuck this information away in some fine print, we have dedicated an entire section of our pricing page to it.
Intended Use
Like many headless CMS platforms, typdy is designed to be used as an administrative interface for content management, not as a real-time data source for dynamic applications.
Our APIs are optimized for static sites and dynamic applications that employ agressive caching strategies, and may not be cost effective when used as a real-time data source. See caching below.
Technical Limitations
Usage limits are based on the number of constructs in your account. The more constructs you have, the more pooled resources you are allocated.
| Metric | Multiplier (soft limit) | Multiplier (hard limit) |
|---|---|---|
| API Requests | ×800 | ×1,000 |
| CDN Bandwidth | ×80MB | ×100MB |
For example, if you have 1,000 constructs in your account, you would have a pooled allocation of 100,000 API requests and 100GB of CDN bandwidth before hitting the hard limits.
| Metric | Example Allocation (pooled) |
|---|---|
| API Requests | 200,000 = 200 × 1,000 Constructs |
| CDN Bandwidth | 400GB = 400MB × 1,000 Construct |
Surpassing the Limits
Should your account exceed a soft limit, we will reach out to you to discuss your needs and how we can accommodate them.
We offer three billing solutions, two of which are suitable for users who may otherwise exceed the limits on a regular basis:
- Standard Billing
- When you add a construct to your account, you get the corresponding allocation of resources.
- Retained Billing
- You can retain a number of additional unused constructs to increase your pooled resources. For example, if you have 1,000 constructs and retain 500 additional unused constructs, you would have a pooled allocation of 150,000 API requests and 150GB of CDN bandwidth.
- Dynamic Billing
- With dynamic billing, the total number of constructs required to meet your resource usage is calculated and billed on a monthly basis. This allows you to scale up and down as needed, without having to worry about hitting limits or retaining unused resources.
Regardless of your preferred billing solution, we will communicate with you if your account is approaching or has exceeded its limits, and we will work with you to find a solution that meets your needs and allows you to continue using typdy without interruption.
In addition to the billing solutions mentioned above, we also offer a development mode that allows you to bypass your account limits for a limited time during the development phase of your project.
Static Sites and Caching
Our APIs are designed for static sites and dynamic applications that employ comprehensive caching strategies. They are not suited for dynamic applications that require real-time data or have high traffic volumes without caching.
We understand that caching can be a complex topic, especially for developers who are new to it, however, we believe that it is an essential part of building scalable applications.
Every single typdy starter kit is built with caching in mind. Our starter kits intended for use with dynamic frameworks / applications include comprehensive caching strategies right out of the box.
We are committed to providing resources and support to help our users understand and implement caching strategies that work best for their applications. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions or need assistance with caching.
Development Phase
During the development phase of your project, you may encounter limits more frequently as you test and iterate on your content models and API requests. To help with this, we have a development mode that allows you to bypass your account limits for a limited time.
To activate the development mode, simply head to your account settings and fill out the form to request access. Once you submit the form, our team will review your request and grant you access to the development mode within 24-48 hours.
Development mode is granted on a case-by-case basis, and we may ask for additional information about your project and use case to prevent abuse and ensure that the development mode is being used appropriately. We reserve the right to revoke access to the development mode at any time, for any reason, without notice.
